We’d like to remind  WSRA members of the new arrangements for travel concessions for standard tickets on normal service trains on the Railway.

New members joining the Association – and current WSRA members renewing after 1 January 2016 – will not receive a free travel pass, but will be eligible for a 25% reduction.

There are transitional arrangements for other existing WSRA members:

– Current WSRA members who renewed in the weeks before 31 December 2015 will have received a free travel pass valid until 30 April 2016 and thereafter are eligible for a 25% reduction.
– Current WSRA members already holding a valid free travel pass issued earlier in 2015 will have until 30 April 2016 to use the pass, after that date the free pass will be not be valid, regardless of the expiry date printed on the pass.

The new arrangements bring a standard 25% discount to members of all organisations in the WSR family entitled receive travel concessions granted by WSR Plc.

We at WSRA+ strongly approve of the changes and we hope WSRA members will continue to enjoy travelling on our wonderful Railway.

The above list gleaned (and updated) from the summary on p16 of Journal 151. Whilst we hope we have provided a true appraisal of the new arrangements, we suggest checking with the Association or re-reading the Journal article.
